Kalsey Killam MPH, author of The Art and Science of Connection: Why Social Health is the Missing Key to Living Longer, Healthier, and Happier (June 2024, HarperOne), is a Harvard-trained social scientist and award-winning innovator. Specializing in social health, Kasley champions the importance of relationships for well-being through over a decade of research, advocacy, and practice. She founded Social Health Labs, a nonprofit dedicated to community empowerment, and advises and speaks on enhancing well-being via connection across various organizations, including Google, AARP, and US Government entities.

Serving on the boards of the Community Living Campaign and Only7Seconds, and advising for the Aspen Institute’s Weave Project, Kasley's educational background includes a master’s from Harvard School of Public Health focused on loneliness solutions, and a psychology bachelor’s from Queen’s University. Her career, blending technology, healthcare, academia, and social entrepreneurship, provides a broad perspective for partnership and innovation. Notably, Kasley developed a community strategy for Verily (Google Life Sciences), researched positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, and launched a successful empathy app.

Recognized for her contributions to social health, Kasley's insights feature in top publications like the New York Times and Scientific American, and she writes for Psychology Today’s Social Health Blog. Awards and recognitions include being a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and an Encore Public Voices Fellow, among others. Kasley, originally from Vancouver, now resides in California.
